Growing up
Now, this is a story all about how my life got flipped turned upside down. And I’d like to take a minute, just sit right there, I’ll tell you how I grew up in the heart of South London with a feeling that life wasn't fair. (Recognize this intro? Haha!)
Growing up, I missed out on having a father for the first 10 years of my life. My biological father didn't want anything to do with me. However, this isn't your typical sob story of a South London single-parent household. Instead, I take great understanding from this Bible passage:
“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” — 1 Corinthians 10:13 (NIV)
This passage perfectly encapsulates my experience. Though I missed out on a biological father, I was incredibly blessed with older siblings, cousins, uncles, a stepfather, and great friends who did more than enough to raise me. I believe God ensures that where you lack, He will provide more than enough to fill the void. You've heard the saying, "It takes a village to raise a child," right?
Being one of the youngest, I saw a lot of things before my time that gave me a greater understanding of this thing called life. I used to carry around an “invisible” notepad, making notes of all the mistakes my older family members were making—haha. I was that annoying, smart, old-soul child, born before my time, as they used to say. I called it wisdom.
Chasing Dreams and Facing Reality
Like the majority of young boys, I had dreams of becoming a professional footballer—and I was actually talented. I played for various professional clubs from the age of 13 until I was 21. "I would have made it if I didn't have a knee injury"—haha, I'm joking! That's the typical running joke of why a player never made it as a full-time professional. The truth is, I didn't make it due to bad decision-making, lack of discipline, lack of confidence, bad habits, and being distracted by the wrong things.
When I got released from my football club, I didn’t know what to do next. I felt lost, confused, depressed, and had no idea where to turn. This resulted in me doing many things out of desperation, pressure, and lack of purpose. Have you ever felt like this before?
Finding New Paths and Building a Career
I was lost, confused, and somewhat depressed, with a lack of purpose. Then, an unfortunate situation happened: my sister, who is just older than me, lost her husband to gang and drug violence. She was left behind with my seven-year-old niece and was six months pregnant with my unborn nephew. This tragic event gave me the purpose and drive I didn't know I needed. I wanted to become someone great to set a good example for the kids and to support my sister in raising them.
During this time, I met a lovely gentleman named Freeman. He liked my character and would always say, "I love and respect your mannerisms." Freeman helped me get into the motor trade industry, marking my first introduction to the power of networking. More importantly, I learned the value of being a good person, as kindness often comes back full circle when you least expect it.
Although Freeman helped me get my foot in the door, it was up to me to keep it there and maintain my job. This journey taught me the importance of hard work, discipline, sacrifice, and consistency. I had the privilege of working for prestigious brands like Ferrari, Toyota, and Bentley. Through these experiences, I gained invaluable skills in discipline, understanding different types of people, management, leadership, networking, and more.
This combination of life experiences and professional growth has shaped who I am today and fuels my passion for helping others discover their potential and achieve their dreams.
Starting My Own Business
After finally finding my feet and purpose, I decided to deepen my quest for self-discovery by taking a trip to my homeland, Ghana. This was my first visit to Ghana without my mother or any family member. The trip opened my eyes in many ways. I visited the slave castle in Cape Coast, and it broke my heart when I saw, read, and heard about what happened to my ancestors during slavery. I remember sitting on the coach on the way back to Accra, in tears, thinking about all the suffering endured by those before me.
During this trip, I also witnessed extreme poverty, with young children selling anything they could to make money for food. Some were as young as three years old, begging on the sidewalks. This humbled me and made me realize that if my parents hadn’t struggled to get to England, this could have been my reality as well.
When I returned to London, I decided to start my own car customization company called PrestigEmUk. I had gained a renewed sense of motivation and a spark to do something meaningful—not just for myself, but for humanity. My whole life changed, and I owe it to the gentleman who gave me a chance and helped me navigate the working world.
After achieving great success with PrestigEmUk, I decided to create a youth organization called STEP NOW. My goal was to help the next generation get a head start and provide them with the right tools to equip them for adulthood. The same way Freeman helped me get my life on track, I wanted to help the next generation. This was the birth of STEP NOW a youth organisation.

Investing in Personal Growth
I then decided to get a life coach and a therapist to upscale my business and find myself. It was possibly the best decision I’ve ever made, and I immediately saw the benefits that changed my life forever. The help I received kickstarted my career at a time when I didn’t know where to start or what my purpose was. I vowed to offer the same support to others in similar situations, helping them find direction and achieve their potential.
Becoming a Life Coach
I took coaching courses and traveled to Dubai, the USA, and Ghana to coach. Five years later, here I am as a qualified life coach, helping thousands of people all over the world. It’s the most rewarding job ever! All the trials and tribulations have shaped me into the person I am today. With everything I've learned, I am dedicated to helping others find their path and, most importantly, become the best version of themselves.
